We spent the long weekend eating great food, shopping and not focusing on any agenda. Sometimes a vacation {or getaway in our case} turns out to be just as much work as real life, and in case we have all forgotten, that is most definitely not what it is intended for. A getaway should be just that, an escape from the ordinary; a relaxing journey in which time {for once} is on your side.
Spending uninterrupted time with Wyet is the perfect reminder as to why I fell in love with him so many years ago. Whether having late night cocktails in our room while telling stories or walking down historical Park City Main Street, I remember the best part about our relationship is that we genuinely love spending time together, and we have a hell of a lot of fun while doing so. I am happy that we take the time to escape together every few months. It settles the tension of everyday life and sends us home with a renewed sense of love for the life we have chosen, and instills in us a little deeper, that we truly are with the one we were meant for.
The changing leaves in full swing. |
The hotel we stayed at was amazing! |
Amazing man + giant room + modern artwork = bliss |
We definitely loved the pub-like eating options, and we were not about to pass on a Wasatch brew. |
We enjoyed a little shopping on Saturday afternoon. This bookstore was perfect. |
Head over heels for this man |
Wyet bought us tickets to see The Producers at The Egyptian Theater. Needless to say, I had the best looking date there. |
