When we found this house, I was in complete awe. I remember telling Wyet to stay positive right before we entered because I was worried about what the interior would look like. The house was built in 1905, and needless to say, we were skeptical about which decade it had been left in. Once inside, all fears fell silent. Freshly renovated and full of charisma, this house was everything we were looking for.
Its charming appearance had me sold from the beginning; with an idyllic front porch and the bright hue of the exterior, it seemed like a place where only happy, content people could live. Upon further inspection inside, we discovered we had just enough to work with to make this place our own. While it certainly has been far from flawless {we have had our fair share of plumbing mishaps and yard grievances}, this home has truly been a work in progress.
Now as Wyet and I explore the market in search of homes for sale, I can't help but feel some discord in the idea of ever leaving this place. For this is the place that changed us from a couple to a family, from simply dating to being devoted life partners. Our little yellow house is so much more than just a house. This is our first home, and that, is irrevocably, irreplaceable.
Having a large yard is definitely a must for Wyet and I. Although it took a few years in the making, this has honestly become our happiest place on earth. |
Only recently {after a few renovations and large purchases} has this truly become a place we love to hang out. I foresee long winter nights snuggled up in here. |
Home Sweet Home |
Awe makes me kinda teary eyed thinking you'll one day be somewhere else! Lots of good memories here.
